The MICROCRET® microcement, as it is a surface coating, can be directly applied on the surface, without having to remove any existing support. However, we must pay attention to some advices if we want to get the best result:

• MICROCRET® does not require removing former supports, but they must be in good conditions, without cracks, holes...
  

• Levelling floors is, therefore, essential for a perfect finish of MICROCRET® microcement. To do this, we can use waterproof self-levelling mortar, flashing or repair mortar; they are sold in any construction products company.
  

• Allow to dry for 12 hours.
  

• We sand the finished surface with 80-grit sandpaper and vacuum the surface.
  

• The support is ready to apply MICROCRET® microcement.
